From March 11th to 16th, 2019, Pôle emploi organizes the 4th edition of the maritime employment week. You will have one week to discover all the sea professions, through activities, workshops, company visits, forums or even an escape game ! The Surfrider association will even propose a beach clean-up operation to bring together job seekers and recruiters around an engaged action . There will be a total of forty events in the Alpes-Maritimes, Bouches-du-Rhône and Var.
The different jobs covered :
- hotels, restaurants
- catering
- coastal activities and leisure
- naval construction and maintenance
- port and nautical services
- processing of seafood products
- marine culture
- R&D and maritime engineering
- on-board defence staff and maritime administrations
Today, there are more than 100,000 jobs related to sea, and the aim is to double this number by 2023. Supported by the Secretary General for the Sea and sponsored by Hervé Guillou, CEO of Naval Group, President of GICAN (Groupement des Industries de Construction et Activités Navales) and of the Comité Stratégique de Filière des Industries de la Mer, the Maritime Employment Week hopes to introduce more and more candidates to the maritime professions.
